A project that was primarily an experiment on creating tools for myself to perform with with that blurred the line between performance art and VJ. The idea was to create a spine which I could bend and twist as I performed. The spine would have gyroscopes that would detect positional data at a few different key parts of the spine and send that data as midi input into Touchdesigner.
It was also an excuse to try electroplating, a chemical process which allows you to coat an object in a layer of a conductive metal. Due to some time constraints and lack of budget, I had to scrap the gyroscopes for accelerometers, which measure movement rather than position.
